On the 31st, Marissa turned 8 months old. She continues to be such a sweetie! Her personality emerges more and more every day. She is our little giggle-box, much to all of our delight. She is now unstoppable, and is crawling everywhere (yes, the first crawling videos are lost), pulling herself up on anything she can, and spends most of her time standing. She is in the phase where Mommy cannot be out of arm's reach and has a major melt down if Mommy or Daddy walk into a room without picking her up. She is eating everything she can get her hands on and really likes to feed herself whenever possible. I don't know that there is a favorite food or anything she really detests - she has even had her first lemon (also a lost video) and gave the usual shiver but went back for more, multiple times. She is working on mastering the sippy cup. Currently she has developed a high shrill to express her delight for anything she is particularly fond of (usually Nathaniel or Bruno, our dog). She is just all together FUN. A little too fun sometimes, as she is still not sleeping well - this week she just started extending it to 4 hours at a time. But she is still a much better sleeper than Nathaniel was. I guess we just are missing a certain sleep DNA strand in this family. But she really is great in every way!
