We took the kids to Galveston today and stopped at a local confectionary (one of Mommy's favorite places) to indulge in some sweet treats.

The Amazing Tangled Party!
Our friends, the Sykes, throw some AMAZING parties....and Payton's Tangled party was no exception. The kids decorated crowns or helmets...
Everyone filled out a message for the birthday girl and attached it to a balloon which were released one by one. The cake was incredible.
And for the grande finale, a lantern was lit and released into the air.
It was a magical evening (for all of us). Happy Birthday, Payton!

When I was a kid, I dreamed of the day I would be a wife and mom....I just never dreamed it woud be this good.

First Dip
At last both kids ear tubes have come out...so for the first time we get to fully enjoy the pool! This is their first time in a "big pool".
Marissa had no fear whatsoever! Nate tended to be a little more cautious but enjoyed it tremendously. I am hoping to be frequenting our neighborhood pool a lot now. It is the only way to beat the Houston heat!
