Buzz Birthday Bash

We celebrated Nathaniel's third birthday today.  His third.  Three years of smiles, hugs, laughter, occasional fits, lots of chocolate milk, "ho-hawks" and spikey hair.  Three years of my life that I love.  Three years that I wish I could bottle up and keep forever....

It is really unbelievable how much I love this little boy (who is constantly reminding me that he is a BIG boy).  So today we celebrated with his friends (both fictional, like Buzz & Woody and non-fictional)!

Zurg and Woody, compliments of Lego masters, Robert and Logan!

We rented a bounce-house (and had fun in it ALL day long)

It was a great party, with a ton of people we love present (and some that were not able to be there were missed).  Nathniel said he "wanted a birfday ALL the time" when he went down for a nap that afternoon!  We really do have some great friends.  Thanks to everyone for coming and celebrating this special day with us.

Happy Easter

Sadly this is the best one I got of them together this Easter :)

But gosh, isn't he handsome?

And she is just too cute for words!
We had family over for lunch, including a Great Aunt that I had not even met yet.
The siblings

Great Aunt Julie with the kids and one funny bunny

Can you say spoiled?  These are their 3rd baskets this year.  These are from our neighbors

With their own personalized white chocolate/fudge eggs
And we had our first confetti egg fun.  Daddy is such a trooper!

One happy kid!

One unsure kid

Proud of his new trains and the bows he stole from sister's basket!

Blackmail later in life!
We had an amazing Easter.  Rissa was feeling better after her bout with the stomach bug but at 9:00 Nate got it.....it is going to be a long night.  At least we had a great day.  Pray for health for my little family, and that Mommy maintains her sanity.  Right now we are down a vehicle and 'Rissa is supposed to go in to the ENT tomorrow for her hearing screening and to talk about setting up surgery for tubes.  We have some schedule juggling to do tonight.

Easter Activities

Nathaniel has had a busy Easter season.  Poor little Rissa has been sick so we have just been trying to recover from a pretty aggressive stomach bug.

Stuffing eggs for his daycare party

Our funny bunny!

Egg Hunt at a local church

He can "do it all by myself"
His theology may be a bit off, but here's Nathaniel telling us what Easter is all about.
Well, almost kid.  Almost.

Crawling, Cruising, and Designer Jeans

After our trip to the Bahamas I had to turn around and head to a national conference in Philadelphia so now I am playing catch up on the blog.

I did find a video of Rissa crawling on another camera so it is not in chronological order on the blog, but at least you get so see some of her first works toward becoming Miss Independence!

I also found some of her cruising around our ottoman from about 2 weeks ago...with a few breaks to stop and munch!

And just some pics of her sporting her designer jean pampers that were given to us during a baby shower.

I just can't get enough of sleeping babies.  So peaceful!

While the cat's away....

I may have mentioned in a previous post that Nathaniel did not ask ONCE about us while we were gone.  While I am a little troubled that we were not missed, there is a very good explaination.  He was with his Gigi, Auntie, Uncle, and cousins having a blast!  Here are a few pics that I stole from my sister of their week...

They were obviously pretty spoiled while we were gone.  Again, I cannot thank my family enough for allowing us to take this trip and to make their own memories with our kids.  We were all so spoiled!!!

However, vacation is officially over for all of us.  Today we took both kids to urgent care to find Marissa has bilateral ear infections and Nathaniel has strep.  His cousins who are safely back in Midland have upper respiratory infections as well.  While I am glad the kids had their fun, they really did not have to wait until we got home to get sick....ughhh.  Hello real world, I did not miss you.
