Days and Months

I knew they were covering the days of the week at daycare but I had no idea they were doing the months of the year as well.  I am not sure if I should cry because I feel like the world's worst parent for not knowing that he knew this or if I should rejoice that he is such a little genius???
Regardless, we are proud that he attends such a great daycare and that he is learning so much!

Family Reunion

Following the Bubble Wrap Adventure we did some other mundane things, like get dressed, then we headed up for the Yancy family reunion.  Sadly I did not take many pictures of extended family, but it was a nice party, great food, perfect weather, and all kinds of things for the kids to do!

My awesome cousins!

Chillin'

Fun at the park...this was a fabulous park, there were several different play areas, a huge koi pond, a putt-putt course, picinic areas, and a lake.  The kids had a ball, and pretty much did not stop the entire time we were there.

Fun with the grandparents

 The love for fishing continues....

This was his first catch, to which he proudly proclaimed "This is the biggest fish I have ever seen".  Ha ha, already a true fisherman telling some stories about the ones that got away!

His second catch was a bit bigger!

I will never get tired of seeing this!

Like I said in the previous post, it was pretty much a perfect day!

Bubble Wrap Dance Party!!!!

If ever there were a perfect day, this may have been it!
We had our usual, Saturday morning salute to our favorite neighborhood heroes, the garbage men...

Followed by some major bubble popping fun.  I laid out bubble wrap (in all honesty I was hoping to do this before the trash was collected today, oh well....), cranked up Nathaniel's two favorite songs, Who Let the Dogs Out and I Like To Move It, and I let the kids go crazy dancing, jumping, and laughing....

It is pretty obvious, Naterbug enjoyed it a lot more than Roo-Roo, but she had a ton of fun laughing at her brother!

Football Season is here...

And we are in gear....
So we are hopeful, once again, that THIS year the Texans will do something big....
but even if they don't, they do have the most adorable cheerleader on their side!

She's working on mastering her "Touchdown Texans" pose!

Weekend fun

Last weekend was one of the few we've had with absolutely nothing planned.  We spent a lot of time playing a 3 year-old version of hide-and-seek.  The rules are a little different in 3 year old land.  First you never hide alone, no matter how hard Mommy and Daddy try convince you to.  Second, you announce where you are going to hide, (example, "Daddy let's hide in the bathtub, Mommy will never find us there"), and Third you must start laughing as soon as anyone gets close or about 30 seconds have passed, whichever comes first.  It is a lot of fun, regardless!

Saturday we hit up the penguins at Moody Gardens.  The kids LOVE the penguins!  Everthing else is sub par for Nate.

And on Sunday we went to visit Granny!

LoveLee...Indeed!

Ok, so if you know me, I am pretty sure you have heard me say that I really do think I have the cutest kids in the world.  And yes, I really do believe that!  But you will too after see these amazing pictures from my sweet friend Susie at LoveLee Moments Photography;  she does phenomenal work!

And this is not even half of them, she put alot of different colors, etc. on them after she finished (you can tell in some).  So to my family (and even friends if you want some), let me know which ones you want in which sizes....or come see the entire disk.  I think they are all pretty great (even though Daddy and I do not match the kids - we were not planning on getting our pictures taken!).  Thanks again, Susie, we really do love them!
