Calf-Roping Cuties

Nothing Says TEXAS like big flags, calf -roping, and big hair!
Dec 30th we headed to my sister's for a week and had a ton of fun....(many blog posts to follow)

The cutest cowboy and side kick I have ever seen.

Our first day we met up with some old friends and watched their son participate in calf-roping.  The kids had a blast just playing on the stairs....go figure!

Next stop was our beloved Chick-fil-a

Then complete exhaustion hit.  She really did nap like this!

The other thing, I always seem to forget about coming back to West Texas is how crazy our hair gets.   There was no controlling Marissa's hair during this trip, we could not escape the static.

Superheroes

We decided to spend the New Year in Midland.  The cousins always have a blast together.  And mommy was happy to stop in San Antonio and spend some time with her best friend!

Super-Cousin, Superheroes!

The Hulk, a Mommy, IronMan, and Captain America....I think we all know who the real hero is here!

And Nate being very proud of finding the "biggest leaf ever".
It is moments like these that make my world right!

Christmas Day 2013

Christmas morning, Nate could not wait for Rissa to wake up!  We brought NiNi over, then opened gifts.

The big gifts this year were bikes.  Marissa has been begging for a pink and purple bicycle...thankfully Santa delivered!

Then we went over to Great Uncle and Gram Aunt's house for further festivities with the family.

We are blessed....and spoiled!

Here's Nate writing out thank you notes.

And everyone showing off their stash.  It think Marissa's outfit topped it off...a dress handmade by Gram Aunt, a minnie outfit from Grandma and Grandpa, a flashlight from NiNi and slippers from the Alexanders!

Christmas Eve 2012

My in-laws always do a fabulous job of creating magical moments around Christmas.  This year we played games, made frames, played with play-dough the girls made for Nate and Rissa, opened gifts, and then topped off the night by releasing lanterns!  It was an awesome evening!
