REAL Police Officer

It has been cold so Nate has not had much opportunity to ride his fancy police officer bike since Christmas.  The one day we did ride it down to the park, he must have said 70 times, "I can't believe I am a real police officer".

So I bought him an outfit and he became certain that he was indeed, a real police officer.  Then one of our friends who is a police officer, offered to come by after work to let the kids play in his cop car.  I told him that Nathaniel would be so excited he would probably pee his pants!

Well, you will be happy to know that Nate did not pee his pants.  Marissa, however, did.  Right in the front driver's seat.  She is solidly potty trained.  I could not believe it!  But other than that, is was great fun having our friends over....and awesome memories were made.  Thanks, Halls!

Snow!!!

The kids were all watching a movie and as it ended the looked outside ot see snow coming down.
Nate and Craig began running around screaming "it's snowing and it is not even Christmas".

My poor kids don't get to see much snow, living in South Texas.  Last year we spent Christmas in Midland and it snowed so Nate assumed that it snows every year on Christmas morning.  He was sorely disappointed Christmas Day; however, I think this made it worthwhile.

To-Tats and Nerds!

Uncle Anson's Tatoo Parlor was a big hit, especially with Marissa.  You know she must be excited to let him get this close to her!  She was pretty proud of her "to-tat" and has to show it to anyone who will look!

They had fun playing with the 3-D glasses....I love these little nerds!

Blasting Into 2013

We blasted off into the new year by building our own rocket!  It was a perfect rainy day activity.  The kids kept busy coloring and or letting their imaginations run wild with space adventure.

Everyone fought over who got to be the Captain

In the end, the kids travelled to 'Blue Mars' so we celebrated with blue popcorn and blue chocolate milk!

These kids really are out of this world!  I love their imaginations and they way they interact wtih one another.
