Thanks to our very generous family members, we have a season pass to the Children's Museum of Houston. It is an amazing place for kids (and adults) to learn and play! Mommy watched two of Nate's friends today so we took advantage of our season pass and played at the museum for most of the day. Then we got a behind the scenes treat at HCC bakery and got to top off the day with warm cookies. Fun was had by all!

Butterfly
Following VBS we made our first trip to the library this summer. It was an exciting one. Nate discovered Nate the Great Books!
Then we went to their program sponsored by the Natural Science Museum, all about butterflies. Nate was all over it learning how to plant butterfly attracting plants, letting catterpillars crawl all over him, and learning how to hold butterflies in a non-harmful manner. Rissa was a little slower to warm up but cannot stop talking about it now that we are home.
Then that evening, Nate caught two frogs on our front porch. It was a pretty exciting animal day for the kids (maybe not so much for the animals!).
