Atlantis Anniversary Trip

We had an AMAZING time celebrating our 5th Anniversary.  It is hard to believe how much our lives have changed in 5 years and it is hard to imagine the time before we were married, much less had kids.  It has been quite a journey and I am so thankful to have such an incredible man by my side!

When you buy a new house and have a kid in the same year, it comes to a pretty nice tax return.  Since my sis and her hubby were in town for the Final Four and my mom agreed to come watch the kids, Mommy and Daddy snuck off to the Bahamas to spend 5 glorious days at Atlantis.  It was truly a dream vacation (but we did miss our kids quite a bit).  So now for picture overload....

Welcome to Atlantis...
I like to consider it a Disney/Sea World Combo on crack!!!

A hike along the nature trail...

Marine life is OUTSTANDING.  They have several HUGE aquariums, and if you know our family, you know we are fish fanatics, this was amazing stuff!  The pictures simply do not do it justice.

Pics from "The Dig"

Pics from "Predator Tunnel"

AQUAVENTURE - their 141 acre waterpark!!!

Yes, that is Ted on the Leap of Faith Drop, it shoots you through the aquarium in a plastic see-through tunnel, only you are going so fast, you cannot really enjoy the scenery!  There were other tube rides that were slower and did the same.

THE BEACH
All of this surrounded by a beautiful beach, with powder sand and aqua-blue water.  It was breathtaking! We took a walk along it every night we were there.

CASINO!!! Our final night Ted hit up the Casino and was able to pocket a little extra cash (at least for a few minutes before he went and spent it on cigars)!

 Some of the local flavor....
Conch salad

We also did a couple dives while we were there (of course) those pics will follow in the next post.  This ennire trip was amazzzzzzing!  We were so blessed by my family keeping the kiddos, even though I was beside my self after the 3rd day without them.  Although, Nate did not ask for us even once while we were gone.  I guess he was having too much fun with his cousins (also some pics to follow).  So thanks Mom, Barbara, Anson, Craig and Dawson for making this trip possible and thanks to my hubby for five of the most amazing years of my life.  I love you!
